Hyderabad, May 29, 2025: Speaking to the media, MP Raghunandan Rao commented that the developments within KCR’s family resemble a grand drama. “It seems they are making all these efforts because BRS is becoming empty. It’s like saying, ‘If you fight with me, go to my child.’ It appears they are forming groups themselves. If the father, son, or son-in-law don’t work out, they seem to be planning to set up a new stove with the daughter,” he remarked.
Along with these comments, Raghunandan Rao also dropped a bombshell, hinting that Kavitha might launch a new political party on June 2. “On June 2, Kavitha might start a new party, just like Sharmila did,” he said, sparking intense discussions in political circles. It is well-known that in Andhra Pradesh, YS Sharmila established a new party in the name of her father, YS Rajasekhara Reddy. Now, speculations are rife that Kavitha might follow a similar path.
Raghunandan Rao’s remarks have further fueled suspicions of internal conflicts within the BRS party. For some time, there have been speculations about power struggles among Chief Minister KCR, Minister KTR, and Finance Minister Harish Rao. In this context, political analysts believe that if Kavitha forms a new party, it could cause significant damage to BRS.
It is noteworthy that June 2 marks Telangana State Formation Day. Launching a new party on this significant day could attract public attention, analysts suggest. However, there has been no official announcement regarding Kavitha’s plans to form a new party. The coming days will reveal how these developments will reshape Telangana’s political landscape, with the issue likely to gain more traction.
