
This system which was introduced by the central government integrates all major emergency service numbers under one umbrella – police, fire, ambulance, women safety, child protection and disaster management. It plays a vital role in tracing missing persons and preventing serious crimes such as murders and rape attempts.
In each instance, distress callers contacted Dial-112 from different police jurisdictions across the State.
TGiCCC Director VB Kamalasan Reddy said the Dial-112 team responded swiftly, immediately alerting the police stations concerned. Field officers acted without delay and reached the scenes promptly.
“These incidents underscore the critical importance of prompt emergency response and highlight the effectiveness of the Emergency Response Support System in safeguarding public safety,” Kamalasan Reddy said.
The Telangana Police requested citizens to use Dial-112 services during emergencies.
