A fatal road accident occurred in Vijayapura district, Karnataka, claiming the lives of six people on the spot. The incident took place near Managuli village on a national highway in Basavana Bagewadi taluk, where a private vehicle collided with a bus, leading to the tragic loss of lives.
Collision Between Private Vehicle and Bus
According to Vijayapura police reports, the private vehicle was heading towards Solapur when it was struck by a private bus traveling from Mumbai to Ballari. The accident resulted in the immediate death of four occupants of the car and one passenger from the bus. Several others sustained injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Tragically, another injured individual succumbed to injuries while undergoing medical care.
Authorities have confirmed that over-speeding was a major cause of the accident. Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the incident.
