Hyderabad:Police urged people to be aware of fake posts that are going viral on social media, asking for donations to purportedly modernise the Army. Fraudsters had created fake websites and were asking for money on social media and messaging platforms, sources said.
“The scammers are sending random messages to the citizens by playing on their patriotism. TGCSB teams are working on it,” an officer said. People should not believe the false propaganda being spread about donations for the Army.” Anyone receiving such calls must immediately report to the police, the officer said.
