Hyderabad, May 29, 2025: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha has stirred controversy with sensational allegations against her brother, K.T. Rama Rao (KTR), the party’s working president. In a media interaction, she declared, “In the party, KCR is my only leader. Like KCR, I am fearless and have no reason to be afraid of anyone. For 25 years, I have been writing letters to my father, which he reads and discards. But this time, the letters I wrote were deliberately leaked. I demand to know who in the party made my letter public. That person must be exposed.”
Kavitha further alleged that certain individuals are intentionally targeting her, linking her troubles to her arrest in the Delhi liquor scam case. “I had said back then that I would leave the party and resign from my MLC post, but the BRS supremo [KCR] didn’t agree. He told me they arrested me to trouble me. What do you gain by harassing your own family’s daughter? What’s the benefit of spreading propaganda through paid artists?” she questioned. Kavitha also claimed that behind-the-scenes efforts are underway to merge BRS with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), hinting at conspiracies within the party.
For the past few days, Kavitha has been at the center of Telangana’s political discourse. Some media outlets have speculated that the daughter of the BRS supremo might join the ruling Congress party, but no official counter has come from the BRS leadership. Kavitha herself has refuted these claims. However, she has been actively countering narratives, with some media houses allegedly receiving leaks to broadcast breaking news about her. These developments have made news surrounding the BRS chief’s daughter highly sensational. It remains to be seen how KCR will respond to this unfolding situation.
