Hyderabad, May 29, 2025: It is true that Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha wrote letters to her father, BRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR), addressing certain issues. However, these letters had never previously been made public. The recent leak of one such letter, where Kavitha described her father as a “god” surrounded by “demons,” sparked significant discussion. The following day, her brother, K.T. Rama Rao (KTR), the BRS working president, held a press conference, warning that internal party matters should not be aired publicly. These developments have fueled various news reports and social media narratives, with some YouTube channels amplifying speculation, leading to heated debates in Telangana’s political circles.
Rumors about Kavitha forming a new political party have been creating a sensation in Telangana politics for days, diverting attention from core issues. Reports surfaced that a BRS MP visited Kavitha’s residence, acting as KCR’s emissary to discuss these matters, after which some media outlets claimed she would not start a new party and would continue her political activities under her father’s leadership. Meanwhile, a bombshell report in the Telugu media suggested Kavitha might join the Congress party, which she promptly denied.
Analysts warn that such leaks, if continued, could jeopardize her political standing. While Kavitha has the right to form a new party, persistent leaks and rumors could create risks, ultimately harming the “pink party’s” (BRS) first daughter. They argue that these speculative narratives, fueled by internal leaks, could destabilize her position and the party’s unity.
Recent Developments: Contrary to earlier speculation about forming a new party, Kavitha clarified on May 29, 2025, that she has no intention of leaving BRS or starting a new political outfit, putting an end to the debate. However, she openly criticized her brother KTR, alleging internal conspiracies and paid social media campaigns against her. She also expressed concerns about attempts to merge BRS with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), a move she opposed even during her time in jail.
