Every day, lakhs of devotees from all corners of the country visit Tirumala to seek the blessings of the Lord of Kaliyuga. Alarmed by the Pahalgam incident, officials have implemented stringent measures to ensure no undesirable incidents occur in Tirumala. Recent events, such as the drone camera controversy, devotees arriving in attire associated with other religions, and people walking with footwear from the Vaikuntha Queue Complex to the temple’s main entrance, have put authorities on high alert. They are taking precautions to ensure there are no security lapses from the Alipiri checkpoint to the temple. Tirupati police, in coordination with TTD’s vigilance department, have expanded security measures. The recent Pahalgam terror attack has further heightened their alertness. At the Alipiri checkpoint, security personnel are meticulously inspecting devotees’ vehicles and other vehicles before allowing them to proceed up the hill.
