In a tragic incident in Hyderabad’s Suryanagar, Alwal, an elderly couple, Kanakiah, a watchman, and his wife Rajamma, were found brutally murdered in their residence on the night of May 3, 2025. The Alwal Police, along with the Central Crime Station (CCS) and Special Operations Team (SOT) of Medchal Zone, cracked the case within 72 hours, arresting suspects linked to the double murder. The motive appears to be robbery, as gold and silver valuables were stolen from the couple’s home. The perpetrators allegedly entered the house under the cover of darkness, overpowered the couple, and killed them before fleeing with the loot. The swift police response involved forensic analysis, CCTV footage review, and local intelligence, leading to the apprehension of the culprits.
