
Hyderabad: Dundigal police arrested six persons who alleged robbed a man of Rs 5.25 lakh while threatening him with a fake weapon on March 23. Dundigal detective inspector P. Sateesh, said the gang waylaid the car of one Vinod Kumar near Bowarangpet Society, threatened him and made him transfer the money online.
The following day one of the accused demanded additional money, which Vinod Kumar refused and lodged a complaint on March 26, Sateesh said.
Police arrested Sai Krishna Yadav, Sandeep, Manideep, Devender Goud, Vivek Raj Singh and Sumanth and recovered they money. Tarun and Manoj were absconding, police said. Police said the robbery was based on a previous business deal, which Kumar did not see through and settled in New Zealand. He returned recently, following which one of the gang members raked up the matter.
