
The government is preparing for the second phase of land pooling for the capital city, Amaravati. Chief Minister Chandrababu has decided to acquire an additional 40,000 acres, as previously announced. The land is needed for constructing an international airport and an international cricket stadium, among other projects.
Public Opinion Collection
Similar to the first phase, the government has assured that farmers who voluntarily surrender their land will receive valuable plots in return. To gather public opinion, officials are conducting gram sabhas in the Amaravati capital region today. Public opinion collection is scheduled to take place in Balusupadu and Kambhampadu villages today.
