
After a night of blackouts and intercepted drone attacks, an air raid warning siren was sounded in parts of Chandigarh on Friday morning as a warning for a possible drone attack. On Thursday night, multiple drone attacks by Pakistan were intercepted by the Indian air defense system.
Heavy artillery shelling was reported along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday night, particularly in the Rajouri district and Poonch. This marked the 14th consecutive night of ceasefire violations at the India–Pakistan border, as tensions remain heightened following India’s launch of Operation Sindhur, aimed at targeting terrorist camps.

A blackout was also imposed in Punjab’s Amritsar, Jalandhar, Gurdaspur, Tarn Taran, Hoshiarpur, Pathankot, Ferozepur, Fazilka, and Chandigarh, as well as in Gujarat’s Kutch.
After tensions escalated in border districts amid the India–Pakistan standoff, a total blackout lasting more than seven hours was enforced in several parts of the border districts of Kutch and Banaskantha in Gujarat on Thursday night. Lights went out and electricity was cut off at around 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, and power was restored at 5:30 a.m. on Friday.
