BHOPAL: Two men were detained for taking photographs
and video of a military area in Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh, police said on
Saturday.
Mohammad Zuber (32) and Mohammad Irfan (22) were on Friday
detained for taking photographs and video of the military area in the
cantonment, investigating officer Udaybhan Bagri said on Saturday.
Sources said a security guard spotted the duo taking
photographs and video of the military area and questioned them about their
motive.
He handed the two men to the military officers concerned for
further investigation, sources said.
Sources said mobile phones of both the men were seized and
examined.
Mr. Bagri however said prima facie it has been found that
the two men were taking pictures of the military area in a normal way and there
appeared to be no ulterior motive behind it.
The two men were detained as a precautionary measure and
interrogated, he said and added that no case has been registered against them
so far.
Meanwhile, flight services on Saturday resumed in the
Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia airport in Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh.
The flight service in the airport was suspended on May seven
in the wake of the launch of Operation Sindoor following the April 22 Pahalgam
carnage in Jammu and Kashmir in which 26 tourists were massacred by the
terrorists.
There is an airbase of Indian Air Force (IAF) in Gwalior.
