Hyderabad: The film Thammudu, starring Nithiin as the lead and directed by Sriram Venu, is being produced by Sri Venkateswara Creations. The movie features Laya, Varsha Bollamma, and Sapthami Gowda in pivotal roles.
On Sunday, coinciding with director Sriram Venu’s birthday, the makers announced the film’s release date. They revealed that Thammudu will hit theaters on July 4, 2025. To mark the occasion, a special video was released, which has been lauded for its creative and entertaining approach, captivating audiences.
The makers planned the release date announcement in a unique way. In the video, actors from different linguistic backgrounds, including Swasika Vijayan, Varsha Bollamma, Sapthami Gowda, Laya, and child actor Baby Sriram Deetya, approach director Sriram Venu one by one. While Venu assumes they are there to wish him on his birthday, the actors instead question him about the release date of Thammudu and when promotions will begin.
Laya, who is making a comeback to Tollywood after a long hiatus, humorously points out, “They haven’t even released my poster yet, nor have they announced the release date.” Towards the end, Baby Sriram Deetya adds, “You started this movie when I was in third grade, and now I’m in fifth grade. When is the movie releasing?”
Caught off guard, Sriram Venu promises to inform them later and sends them off. The video concludes with producers Dil Raju and Shirish joining Sriram Venu to cut his birthday cake, announcing that Thammudu will release on July 4. Designed with a fun and engaging vibe, this creative video has successfully grabbed the audience’s attention.
The film’s technical crew includes cinematographer KV Guhan, editor Praveen Pudi, and music composer Ajaneesh Loknath. Thammudu is produced by Dil Raju and Shirish, with Sriram Venu handling both the writing and direction.
