The Telangana EAPCET (Engineering, Agriculture, and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test) examinations began today, April 29, 2025, and will continue until May 4, 2025. Today and tomorrow (April 29–30), entrance exams for Agriculture and Pharmacy courses will be conducted in two shifts daily: from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
A total of 35,774 students across Telangana are appearing for these computer-based exams. For Engineering courses, 2,19,420 students have applied, while 86,101 students are appearing for Agriculture and Pharmacy courses. Among these, 93,711 girls and 1,25,660 boys have applied for Engineering, while 65,016 girls and 21,074 boys have applied for Agriculture and Pharmacy.
For the first time, hall tickets include a QR code to help students easily locate their exam centers. By scanning the QR code, students can access details about the center’s location, route, and estimated travel time. Authorities have set up 246 exam centers statewide, with 112 for Agriculture and Pharmacy and 134 for Engineering.
A strict one-minute late policy is in place: no student will be allowed entry after 9:00 AM for the morning shift or 3:00 PM for the afternoon shift. Students must arrive an hour early for biometric verification. Electronic devices, including mobile phones and wristwatches, are prohibited inside the exam hall; only hall tickets and ID cards are permitted.
Section 144 has been enforced around exam centers to prevent crowding, and parents are advised not to gather on roads. Officials urge students to use the QR code to reach centers on time and to write the exam in a calm environment. The exams started this morning, with the next session scheduled for 3:00 PM today.
